DEATH FOLLOWS LONG ILLNESS

Rites Monday Morning For Frank Henry Fischer

Frank Henry Fischer, 70, passed away at his home seven miles southeast of Shelbyville near Prescott Thursday afternoon after a long illness. He had been an invalid for twenty years.
The son of Bernard and Elizabeth Fischer, he was born in Shelby township April 19, 1876. His marriage to Elizabeth Schlaf took place forty-one years ago. Mrs. Fischer died on June 29, 1918. Mr. Fischer was also preceded in death by three children. He was a member of the St. Vincent Catholic Church.
Surviving are five children, Charles and Carl Fischer, of near Prescott, Frank Fischer, U.S. Army, who has just arrived in the states from the South Pacific, Mrs. Lillian (John) Pollman, of Liberty township, Robert, of Louisville; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Weintraut, of Liberty township, Mrs. Mary Weintraut, of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Anna Neice, of Plainfield; and a brother, John Fischer, of near Fairland.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at the St. Vincent Catholic Church with the Rev. John Bankowski officiating. Burial will be made in the church cemetery in charge of Loren H. Murphy. Friends may call at the Fischer home after noon Saturday. The family requests that flowers be omitted. (Obit: The Shelbyville Republican, December 21, 1945)
