The summons to her eternal home came to Mrs. Helena Jensen, wife of A. Jensen, Christmas night. She went to sleep in the evening and passed peacefully from earthly life. Her illness had been of a week's duration. On last Sunday evening she left church service being very well and went to her room. A little later in the evening members of the family found her unconscious near her bed. She rallied from the apparent light stroke of paralysis and was conscious up to the time when she fell into sleep from which she did not waken on Christmas night.
She was an old resident of Newton having lived in Newton and vicinity for 39 years. She was born in Germany, July 14, 1842 and came to the united States when 22 years of age and was married a year later to Asmus Jensen at Cincinnati. They went to Indiana a few years later and from there they came to Harvey county in 1877 and settled on a farm near Newton.
After residing two years on the farm they moved to Newton, and had a boarding house here for several years and Mr. Jensen also had a shoe repair shop.
Parents, Carl Hansen Molzen 1803-1874 and Christiana (Asmussen) Molzen 1811-1870.
