Tim L. Chrisman, 63, 501 E. 18th in Winfield, Kansas passed away Saturday morning, May 24, 2003 at his home.
Chrisman was born May 10, 1940, in Sedan, to Grace (McGill) and Leo Chrisman. He was raised in Sedan and graduated from Sedan High School in 1958. Following graduation he began working in the construction business.
On Oct. 14, 1961, he married Carolyn Harrington at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Moline. They lived in Winfield for five years and later in Sedan for a short time before returning to Winfield where they made his home..
Chrisman worked at Cessna Aircraft in Wichita in the sheet metal department. In 1977 he began working for Petroleum Enterprise as production superintendent and in 1991 began employment at Hopper Oil Co. He owned and operated DAP Oil Co. from 1999 to 2002 when he retired.
His hobbies included his children and grandchildren, old tractors, steam engines and woodworking, especially making rocking horses.
His family includes: His wife: Carolyn; His sons: Joe Chrisman and wife Lisa of Winfield, KS; and John Chrisman and wife Karen of Winfield, KS; His daughter: Marilyn Crotser and husband Steve of The Colony, TX: His brothers: Mack Chrisman and Ross Chrisman both of Sedan, KS; His sisters: Delena (Jimmie) Sanborn of Sedan, KS; Caroline Dye of Independence, KS; and Janice Chrisman of Bartlesville, OK; and His 8 grandchildren: Kelly, Levi and Rebecca Chrisman, Drew and Emily Chrisman, and Seth, Caleb and Sarah Crotser. He was preceded in death by his parents.
