FUNERAL OF MRS.
REUTER IS HELD

NOTE SAYS ILL HEALTH AND
FEAR OF LOSING MIND
PROMPTED SUICIDE.

The funeral of Mrs. C. E. (sic) Reuter who committed suicide by taking carbolic acid, was held this afternoon at 4:30 o'clock from the residence, 313 Joplin Street. Interment was made in Galena Cemetery.

A letter was found which Mrs. Reuter had written just before her death. She stated that she did not want any blame attached to any one; that she took her life because of her poor health and the fear of losing her mind.

It was rumored that she had been unhappily married, but this was untrue. Her despondency over her poor health had preyed on her mind until she took her own life.
