Liebenthal -- Mrs. Katie Herman, 82, died Monday in Grizzel Memorial Hospital, Ransom, after an illness of one week.
Born in Victoria, she married Fidelis Herman in November of 1904 in Liebenthal. He died in 1924.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Joseph Altar Society of Liebenthal.
She is survived by two sons, Sal, Wakeeney, Eddie, Scott City; two daughters, Mrs. Rosie Breit, Scott City, Mrs. Laura Breit, Ransom; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Church with Father W. L. Birzer officiating. Burial will be in Liebenthal Catholic Cemetery. Rosary services will be at 7:30 p.m. today at Hoover Funeral Home, La Crosse.
