Revolutionary War Veteran. Graduate of Yale College. Husband of Hannah Holcomb. Father of Horace, Hannah and Benthen.
On November 23, 1818, he bought five acres of land near Muddy Creek, east of Palmira (now Mason, Ohio) for $150. On July 26, 1834, he purchased five acres of land from his daughter Hannah Gaylord for $450. It was located on the Cincinnati-Lebanon Pike.
Orginally buried at "the cemetery in the Village" and later moved to Rose Hill Cemetery.
