Henry L. Cobb, 75, 1825 Washington Avenue, died Monday at a local hospital.
Mr. Cobb was a Buchanan Co native. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Eagles Lodge, Amalgamated Transit Union Division NO. 847 and the Ten Ten Bowling Club.
He was also a member of the Lamplighter's Club of the St. Joseph Light & Power Co. and the Young at Heart Club.
Mr. Cobb had lived most of his life here and had driven a bus for the Light & Power Co. for 32 years. Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Elsie Wood Cobb of the home; five sons, Thomas W. Cobb & James P. Cobb, both of St. Joseph; Henry L. Cobb, Jr., Tulsa, OK, Eugene Cobb, Merriam, Kansas and Francis A. Cobb, Agency; two daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Rush and Mrs. Darlene Magness, both of St. Joseph; one brother, Charles T. Cobb, St. Joseph; one sister, Mrs. Alice Sale, St. Joseph; 25 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The body is at the Stamey Mortuary.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday morning at 10 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rev. Richard Yound will be the celebrant. Internment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mr. Cobb's five sons, Thomas W. , James P., Henry L., Jr., Eugene and Francis A. Cobb, and a grandson, David Magness.
