James P. Cobb

Lieut., James P. Cobb was born on St. Patrick's Day, 1920, so it is no wonder his middle name should be Patrick,. A native of Frazier, Pat has lived here most of his life. His parents, Mr. And Mrs. Henry Cobb now reside in Agency. Pat graduated from St. Mary's Parochial School and from Christian Brothers High School, He worked at Swift's and in commercial refrigeration before being appointed to the force in 1945.
He was promoted to lieutenant in the fall of 1953. Prior to that Lieut. Cobb had served in the marines from Dec. 1950 to Jan. 1952. He married to the former Mary Catherine Long. His hobbies include woodworking, baseball and fishing. As a lieutenant Pat's duties include taking calls, making up all general repots with eight carbon copies and keep records of all calls in which men are sent out.
