Commander Frosio lived in Warrington, Florida, when he enlisted and was a member of Attack Squadron 12, Carrier Air Wing 1, aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (CVA-42).

On November 12, 1966, he was the pilot of a Douglas Attack Aircraft Skyhawk (A-4E) over North Vietnam when his aircraft crashed. His remains were never recovered.

His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
