Funeral services for Mrs. Viola (Hickman) Rushing will be held at 10am Wednesday in Hersman Chapel. She died Sunday, July 3, 1966, in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 71.
Born in Tennessee, she came to Wagoner in 1924 from Clarity, Oklahoma. A former school teacher here, she was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Pastor Frank Young, of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate at the services.
Survivors are a son, Leo Russell Rushing of Stigler, Oklahoma; one daughter, Mrs. Iwannah Hendrix of Muskogee, Oklahoma; three brothers, Andy Fletcher and Hurshel Herman Hickman, both of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, and Robert Hickman of Delaware; two sisters, Mrs. Dona Henninger of Coalgate, Oklahoma and Mrs. Minnie Hill of Midwest City, Oklahoma; also 6 grandchildren.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Hersman Funeral Home of Wagoner.
Pallbearers are to be Woodrow Floyd, Bill Barnett, Nelson Heflin, Richard Wingfield, John Connard and Jim Hall.
