In the Utica Morning Herald, dated Dec. 4, 1879:

Thomas L. Cleveland, one of the oldest native citizens of Morrisville, died suddenly, Tuesday, of heart disease.

This was followed the next day with:

Thomas L. Cleveland of Morrisville, one of the oldest merchants in Madison county, was buried, Wednesday, with Masonic honors.
