OBITUARY: Boonville, Indiana Standard - December 25, 1925:
Augustus Allen, 88, a prominent retired farmer of this county, died at the home of a son, Millard Allen, near Newburgh, at noon Sunday. Death came after an illness of several months' duration. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday morning with burial at Rose Hill cemetery. Besides the son, Millard, he is survived by two other sons, George and Gus, and a daughter, Miss Nellie.
