Charlie Stewart McAtee--- Charlie Stewart "Buddy" McAtee, of Dripping Springs, Tex., formerly of Austin, Tex., passed away Sunday, March 13, 2005, at the age of 82. He was born in Austin, Texas, on April 6, 1922, to John and Ellen (Howell) McAtee. Buddy worked for various title companies at the Travis County Courthouse for 30 years. He was a veteran of WWII, serving with the U.S. Army and the Army Reserves. Buddy "Pa" was a loving son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. He was an active member of the Church of Christ his entire life, where he met his wife, Esther, who preceded him in death after 33 wonderful years of marriage. At his passing he was a member of the Deer Creek Church of Christ. He is also preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Surviving him are his daughters, Brenda Holloway and husband Rod, Elaine Fitzgerald and husband Ed; son, John McAtee; grandchildren, Shawn and wife Brittany, Eric, Cristie, Heather and husband, Brandon Carter, Kenny McMullen and wife Nicole, Jason McMullen, Megan McAtee; great-grandchildren, Stetson, Justin, Kamryn, Kailey, and Dylan. He is also survived by sisters- in-law, Evalon Redden, Mildred Harcrow, Ruth Schoen, Thelma Schoen and Joyce Wilks and husband, Kirby; many nieces, nephews cousins, brothers and sisters in Christ and many, many friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2005, in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden /Capital Parks Funeral Home. Interment with military honors following in Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that contributions be made in his honor to the Deer Creek Church of Christ, 10208 Sandy Beach Rd, Dripping Springs, Texas 78620.
