James Richardson Robinson, youngest son of Rev. Ralph Robinson and Anna Weeks, b. Apr. 24, 1824 at Paris Twp, Oneida County, NY. He d. Apr. 10, 1842 at Pulaski, NY.

The records of the Pulaski Congregational Church include a handwritten entry in the old church record book: "April 10, 1842. Died, James Richards Robinson, a member of this church, aged 18." The memorialist interprets the record as meaning that he was 17 years old when he died, and Æ. ("aged") 18. He d. unmarried in his adolescence.

That James' middle name was actually Richardson, not Richards, is proved by internal family evidence as well as the biographical sketch submitted by his father for the 1850 alumni record of Middlebury College, Middlebury, VT. In that record James is called by his father James Richardson Robinson and also as being then deceased. Richardson was the maiden surname of James' paternal grandmother.
