CHARLESTON, Ill. Mrs. Elizabeth Stites, 92, of Charleston, died at 6:46 a.m. Wednesday at the Wilson-Kaley Nursing Home here, where she had been a patient for one year. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Evangelical United Brethren Church here, with burial in Mound cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Harper-Swickard funeral home here, Mrs. Stites was born Aug. 14, 1871, in Coles County, the daughter of John and Nancy Wade Pearcy. She was married to Abner Stites, who died in 1942. She was a charter member of the Charleston Evangelical United Brethren Church and a member of the Charleston Royal Neighbors of America. Surviving are two sons,, Stanley and Paul, and three daughters, Mrs. Mary Nees, Mrs. Dora Hutton and Mrs. Ruth Easton, all of Charleston; a brother, Ebb Pearcy, Charleston; three sisters, Mrs. Dora Stevens, Charleston; Mrs. Lena Cook, Greenup, and Mrs. Mary Cook, Kirkland, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren..
