Stanley D. Stites, 80, of Charleston, passed away at his winter home in Lake Worth, Florida, Thursday morning. He is the father of Mrs. James (Priscilla) Way of Olney.

Surviving are the widow, Pearl M., and 11 children, including Mrs. Way, Charles of Charleston, Mrs. Lillian Stone of Coral Gables, Fla., Mrs. Dorothy Wetzel of Hileah, Fla., Mrs. Josephine Grove of N. Miami Beach, Fla., Mrs. Pauline Miller of Mattoon, Tom of Whittier, Calif., Mrs. Dora Gunnell of Lantana, Fla., Stanley, Jr., of Clinton, Max of Clinton, and Don of Nashville, Tenn. There are 27 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body will be returned to the Harper-Swickard Funeral Home in, Charleston and services will be held there.

His daughter, Mrs. Way, is the wife of the manager of the Arcadia Theatre.
