MRS. MARY STIVERS, FOUR SCORE, DIES

Lived Near Elwin for Nearly Sixty Years.

Mrs. Mary Anna Stivers, widow of H. C. Stivers, died at 7:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Cunningham, near Elwin. Mrs. Stivers was eighty years old last September. Her death was caused by bronchitis.

Mrs. Stivers was born at Mt. Auburn, Sept. 20, 1836. She moved to the vicinity of Elwin nearly sixty years ago and had lived there most of the time since, though for a few years she resided in Decatur. She was a member of the First Christian church, Decatur.

She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Kate Bales of Stigler, Okla., Mrs. Nellie Cunningham of Elwin, Mrs. Clara Gray of Elwin, Charles Stivers, whose present address is unknown, and Mrs. Fannie Cruse of Decatur. She also leaves two brothers and two sisters, David Fletcher of Buffalo, ILL., John W. Fletcher of Ashland, ILL. Mrs. Rhoda B. Phillips of Decatur and Mrs. Martha J. Wilson of Decatur.
