Jesse M. Badillo, age 86, of Albion, passed away October 31, 2009 at his residence. He was born September 17, 1923 in Charlotte, Texas to Santos and Petra (Munoz) Badillo. He was married to Florence Jacobs in September of 1949, and she preceded him in death in September of 1972.

He has lived in Albion for several years, moving back to Texas in 1973, and returning to Albion in 2007. He worked for Corning Glass Works in Albion, retiring in 1971. Jesse attended the Baptist Church in Charlotte, Texas and was a member of the Albion Eagles Aerie # 1265.

He is survived by 3 daughters Mary (Bob) Bonham of Albion; Jessie (Fiance Aaron Armstrong) Ellerby of Portage, Mi; and Patricia (Fiance Michael Foster) Badillo, also of Albion; son in law Dennis Richardson of Battle Creek, MI. 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren and 1 brother, Santos Badillo of Texas. Besides his wife he was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Florence Richardson and a sister, Cecilia.

According to his wishes, Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A Graveside Service was 1:30 PM, Thursday, November 5, at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta. Reverend Bill Cole officiated.Pvt US Army - World War II
