I believe he may have been a brother to John, but I don't know for sure since I don't know anyone in the Cawley family. We are related by marriage over 100 years ago, and John and Ellen (aka Nellie) only had one child, a daughter, Nellie. incidentally, young Nellie died on 9/11/01 at 99. The family history is that Ellen died giving birth to Nellie, and I recall there was a stillborn twin."
