William Darrow served as a Private in the Connecticut Troops in the Revolutionary War as follows: 1776, six months in Captain Samuel Thompson's Company; 1777, for six months in Captain Jabez Beebe's Company and three months in Captain Samuel Thompson's Company; 1778 three months in Captain Richard Wait's Company; 1779 four months in Captain Oliver Comstock's Company; 1780 seven months, as Drummer, in Captain Griswold Avery's Company. The above information is from his Pension application of July 26, 1832.
