Mrs. Henry Graf, one of the most beloved ladies that this section has ever known from the founding of the town to date, passed away quietly Friday, September 26, 1926 after a very brief illness. Mrs. Henry Graf, nee Clara Nordhausen, was born February 21st, 1871 in High Hill where she grew to young womanhood.
At the age of 19 years she was married to Henry Graf of Schulenburg, on October 30th, 1890.
God blessed this union with six children, two of whom preceded her in death dying in infancy. Deceased had reached the age of fifty-five years, six months and twenty-seven days.
The remains were laid to rest in the Old High Hill Cemetery, Rev. Paul Piepenbrok officiating.
Deceased leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband, one daughter, Miss Hertha, three sons, Helmuth of Bakersfield, California, Reinhold of Eagle Lake, Otto of Sugar Land, also four brothers, Rudolph, Charlie, Paul and Peter Nordhausen, all of this city; three sisters, Mrs. E.J. Wolters of this city, Mrs. Agnes Seeberger and Augusta Nordhausen of Houston.
