John Sr., Daniel, and Henry were three Bausser brothers. Allegedly when leaving Switzerland, they came down the Rhine in a wood plank boat with sails, and probably transferred to a larger boat at Rotterdam, Holland. The tradition is that they spend 48 weeks on water, partly because of poor winds. While they were at sea, John Jr was born. They called him Johann. They are lucky to have survived the trip, as when they landed - some fell down and some could hardly walk. They arrived in Baltimore in 1733.
