Myrick was an Air Force veteran of World War II. A native of Butler County, Myrick had been a resident of Mobile for more than 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Opal Myrick of Mobile; a son, Johnny Myrick of Mobile; three daughters, Jennifer Chancy of Satsuma, and Dedra Peavy and Karon Freeman, both of Mobile; four sisters, Clyde Blackmon of Georgianna, Ala., Francis McAll of Saraland, and Gladys Young and Ruth Martin, both of Mobile; eight grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street, with services at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
