Oct. 15, 1955-Oct. 14, 2015 Johnny Glenn Myrick, 59, of Semmes, AL, died Wednesday.

He was born to the late John Henry and Opalean Myrick, in Mobile, Al. Johnny graduated from Independent Methodist School in 1973. He married Pamela Werneth on August 24, 1991. On December 11, 1996 Pamela gave birth to the "Angel" of their life, Macie McKenzie Myrick. If you knew Johnny Myrick, you knew what love and caring was all about. Johnny was most caring and loving to his dear mother and father, especially in their later years of life. If his mother needed a massage Johnny gave the best one around. Johnny was also a favorite uncle to his nieces and nephews: always spending time and looking after them. I dare say you could find anyone who did not care for or love Johnny Myrick. He spent several years caring for his in-laws, Mavis and Hilton Werneth. He did everything for them, and when Mavis requested his special potato soup it was made. If Hilton needed help planting the garden he was always the first one up and ready to plant many rows of vegetables. Aunt Lottie and Aunt Francis loved their visits and time shared with Johnny. If anyone needed anything he was always there with his expertise, always showing love for his relatives. His daughter's favorite thing was singing songs with her father, and asking his advice on anything. He was a provider, companion, and a strong man.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela: daughter, Macie; sisters, Dedra (Jerry), Karen (Aubrey), Jennifer (Rodney), and his two aunts; Lottie Hare, and Francis Mcall, six nieces and seven nephews, plus many friends who will miss him dearly.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October19, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
