Mr. Hanger, a well-known farmer who had lived in the community all his life, was born in Augusta County on Dec. 9, 1873, the son of John and Nancy Gaw Hanger. He is survived by two sisters, Misses Sallie and Maude Hanger, and a foster-sister, Miss Frances Martin, all of whom are at home. Mr. Hanger was unmarried.
Remains are resting at the late residence, where the funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. Rites will be conducted by the Rev. D. W. Zipperer, assisted by the Rev. C. Newman Faulconer. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be H. F. Custard, Melton Puckett, Walter Davis, Charles Lamb, and Clarence and George Craig.
Honorary pallbearers have been named as O. F. White, Wlater Beaver, Grant Painter, Thomas Craig, and John and Charles Craig.
