DULANEY, Ocie Cox, 94, of Troutville, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at Friendship Manor. She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Taft" Dulaney and daughter, Marjorie Bishop.

She is survived by her children, Hollie Dulaney, Melva Wright, Barbara Coble and her husband, Allen and Shirley Layman; seven grandchildren, Jimmy and Barry Coble, Blair Bishop, Cynthia Pearce, Scott and Mark Layman and Ernie Wright; three step-grandchildren, Nancy Long, Paula Setchel and Connie Mowbray; seven great-grandchildren, Guy and Ryan Coble, Whitney Bishop, Cory and Ashlee, Onek and Braden and Marshall Wright; five sisters, Eulala Dickerson, Ilene Hylton, Clarice Smith, Dorcas Elaine and Lois Jean Cox.

A special thanks to Sammy Beel for the love and kindness he gave to Ocie and to Trina and the staff on 3 Main at Friendship Manor. Friends are welcome to call 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville, where a service celebrating Ocie's life will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in Rader's Chapel. Interment Mill Creek Cemetery. Ocie's family requests memorial contributions be made to the Troutville Baptist Church Building Fund, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Downs Syndrome Association of Roanoke or American Cancer Society.
