ROCKLAND, Mass./BURLINGTON, Vt. — Alfreda Carlin, 91, of Rockland, Mass., and Burlington, Vt., passed away March 29, 2000, in the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Mass., after a brief illness.
Alfreda was born in South Royalton on April 12, 1908, the daughter of Frederick and Georgianna (Spaulding) Saulters. She married J. Norton Carlin in Burlington, Vt., on March 1, 1924; he predeceased her in 1982.
She is survived by three daughters, Norma O'Connor of Springfield, Vt., Paulita M. and George Courville of Hendersonville, N.C., and Joyce A. and John C. Ahern of Billerica, Mass.; one son, William R. and Joyce A. Carlin of Jericho; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Marie Saulters of Madison, Maine; and several nieces and nephews.
Alfreda was predeceased by one son, J. Norton Carlin Jr.; two brothers, Alfred and Roland Saulters; and a son-in-law, David L. O'Connor
Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Burlington, Vt.
