Frank P. Carpenter married Elenora Blood in 1872. She was the daughter of Aretas and Lavinia (Kendall) Blood. Aretas Blood made his fortune through the Manchester Locomotive Works. Frank and Elenora had two children, Aretas Blood Carpenter and Mary Elizabeth Carpenter. Elenora died in 1910 of an ulcer. In 1924 Frank married Elbra (Story) Taggart. She died in 1928.

Mrs. Carpenter and her husband, Frank P. Carpenter are the only people entombed in the F.P. Carpenter Mausoleum. Her son & daughter are buried close to the Mausoleum. Photo at bottom right shows side view of Mausoleum and grave of her son, Aretas Carpenter & his wife.
