She was born Aug. 8, 1890, in Ashland, to Darius and Moriah Davis. Her parents came from Missouri and homesteaded in 1886 on the Greensprings. She taught in several Jackson County schools. On Oct. 4, 1915, in Ashland, she married Llewellyn James Grissom, who died in 1943. She attended Lake Creek and Brownsboro Community churches.
Survivors include a son, Donald Grissom, Lake Creek; a daughter, Joyce Householder, Lake Creek; a brother, Joe Davis, Mentone, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A son, seven sisters, seven brothers, a grandson and a great-grandson preceded her in death.
