Kathaleen LeMaster Samples, 90, Highway 52, West Irvine, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009 at Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was born Sept. 28, 1919 in Lee County, the daughter of the late Wince and Gracie Daugherty LeMaster. She was a homemakeer and attended the Faith Baptist Church. She had lived in Lee County all of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Samples; one son, Dewey Samples Jr.; five sisters, Gladys Walters, Drucilla Napier, Elizabeth LeMaster, Grace LeMaster and Audrey Tipton; three brothers, Oakley, Robert and Landis LeMaster; of Ohio; one grandson, Shawn C Samples; and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include three daughters, Genevieve Rison and Mary Grace Stamper, both of Irvine, and Willma McIntosh of Beattyvill; Charles Leon Samples and Benny Samples, both of Irvine, Paul Edwin Samples Sr. of Crystal and Bobby Lynn Samples of Richmond; four sisters, Desta Hughes of michigan, Mayda Rogers of Erlanger, Lena Rogers of Crystal and Wanda Watlins of Prestonsburg; one brother, Francis LeMaster of Ohio; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
