She was born Oct. 16, 1910, in Lockney. She married Lewis Hays Hobbs on Nov. 18, 1930, in Kansas. He preceded her in death in February 1986.
She graduated from Lockney High School. She worked for Hemphill-Wells for two years and was a homemaker. She lived in Lubbock since 1930 and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors a daughter, Bonnie Rapp of Lubbock; a son, James Hobbs of Granbury; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
