A memorial service will be held Oct. 11 at 1:30 p.m. at the Pleasant View Methodist Church in rural Kellogg with the Rev. Larry Pauley officiating. The body will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered on the waters of Pudget Sound. A lunch will be served in the church basement following the service.
The son of Jack E. and Betty L. Allfree, he was born June 24, 1951, in Ft. Eustis, Va., army hospital. In his junior year, he enlisted in the United States Navy and after that served in the maritime service sailing from Washington to Alaska and doing odd jobs until a serious motorcycle accident crippled him.
Survivors include his parents of rural Kellogg; special friend, Laurie Hutchison of Grandview, Wash.; three brothers, John of Montezuma, James Michael of Highland, Calif., and Donald Kenneth, his twin, of Tallison, Ariz.; three sisters, Mary K. Van Camp of Mimbres, N.M.; Evelyn M. Allfree of Waterloo and Lisa Symbol of Boynton Beach, Fla.; a son, David Shane of Brainerd, Minn.; three grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
