Mrs. Betty D. Abernathy, of Stone Mountain, died July 6, 2009. She was a proud member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Lithonia.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Clinton E. Abernathy. Surviving are her daughter & son-in-law, Judith & Terry Cochran of Lithonia; grandson, Wray Cochran; nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Thurs, July 9 in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Hughes and Kenneth Dean officiating. Interment will follow in Melwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 56566, Atlanta GA 30343. The family will receive friends 6-8 Wednesday at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia.
