Mrs. Magee was born March 23, 1923, in Charleston, the daughter of Gabriel Cannon and Jeannie Heyward Cannon.
She attended Winthrop and Mary Washington College and was a member of Daughters of the King and The Cathedral Church of St. Luke and St. Paul.
She was the widow of Very Reverend Lynwood Cresse Magee and is survived by one son: Lynwood C. Magee, Jr. and wife Debra of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters: Jeannie H. Magee of Mobile, AL and Louise M. Haney and husband Whit of Greenville, NC; seven grandchildren: Frances H Currin Mujica, Gabriel C. Magee, James M. Haney, Anne C. Pontius, Matthew W. Haney and Cresse G. Magee and Matthew L. McKeehan; one sister: Frances C. Seymour of Charleston; one brother: Dr. Albert Cannon of Hartsville, SC.
