Cherokee Springs, SC, June 3- This community was made sad again Tuesday when it learned that Mr. Alfred Cantrell had quietly passed away at his home near Piedmont Church. Mr. Cantrell was a highly respected citizen and a good man. About two weeks ago he took ill with pneumonia from which he never recovered. He leaves a large connection of relatives and friends who mourn his life.

On the day of Mr. Cantrell's death his sister at King's Mountain was buried in the cemetery at Piedmont Church.

The funeral of Mr. Cantrell took place at Piedmont Church, where he was a consistent member for years, after which the body was tenderly laid to rest near by that of his sister who was buried the day before.

Mr. W.W. Turner and Melton Turner of the city came out to attend the funeral.
