Sometime between 1853-1855, Adam & Catherine moved to Panola County, Texas where George had relocated in 1854. Adam was listed as one of the securities for the estate of his son-in-law Daniel Butler Ross in Panola County on 20 March 1855. Adam's will was dated 17 October 1859 and filed in the Panola County Probate records 20 January 1860. Witnesses attested that he had died at his residence around the middle of January 1860.
