Helen Steel Gehret Davis was born June 3, 1897. She was the daughter of Stricklin Schoedler Gehret and Mary Katherine Steel Gehret.
Helen worked in the Philadelphia headquarters of the former Pennsylvania Railroad. She was an honors graduate of Altoona High School and had been an award-winning artist.
On December 20, 1922 she married Gemmill Cluggage Davis. They had 2 children.
She was a volunteer with the West Shore Library in Camp Hill and a member of the Camp Hill Presbyterian Church and the Carlisle Country Club.
Her life long interests were History and Politics.
She died June 5, 2000 at Mount Vernon Hospital in Alexandria, Fairfax, Virginia at the age of 103.
She is survived by a daughter and 5 grandchildren.
