FREDERICK - Funeral for Bobbie Jean Woods, 66, Frederick, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Chapel with Elder Richard Atkison officiating.

Mrs. Woods died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, in Frederick.

Burial will be in Frederick Memorial Cemetery under direction of Jackson Funeral Home.

She was born Sept. 8, 1943, in Frederick, to Harvey and Mandy Nelson Williams. She attended and graduated from Boyd High School. She married Roosevelt Woods on Sept. 17, 1966, in Vernon, Texas. She worked at Centra Leather Goods for many years. She was a member of Hawkins Chapel.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Sterling and Jeanna Woods, Frederick, and Shahid Shabazz, Wichita Falls, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, LaNell and Patrick Smith, Altus; a brother, Jerry Don Williams; a sister, Lola B. Walker; six grandchildren: Lydia, Dante and Destiny Woods, Ashanti and Amani Shabazz and Jordan Smith; a great-grandson, Lavan Hicks; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Robert, J.B., Harvey and Sherman Williams; and a sister, Ruth McGee.
