Oscar Robinson, son of Seth M. and Elizabeth Robinson, was born near Brumley, Missouri, February 29, 1880 and passed away at a hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri, August 25, 1975 at the age of 95 years, 5 months and 27 days.
On March 17, 1904, he was united in marriage to Emma A. Patton and to this union six chidren were born. Mrs. Robinson passed away in 1951.
Mr. Robinson has been a member of the Brumley Masonic Lodge 203 for 58 years. When a young man, he professed his faith in Christ and united with the Christian Church at Brumley, Missouri. He has been a life-long resident of Miller County and the Brumley community.
On April 29, 1953 he was unite in marriage to Edna L. Suit who survives. Also surviving are four daughters: Hazel King of Hermiston, Oregon, Fern Bryant of Brumley, Missouri, Bethel Stamper of Brumley, Missouri and Faye Grew of Reno, Nevada; two sons, Wayman Robinson of LaGrande, Oregon and Wilford Robinson of Kaiser, Missouri, a stepdaughter, Lillian Payne of Union, Oregon; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 1975 at the Christian Church in Brumley, Mo. with Rev. Carroll Jeffries officiating. Interment was made in the Gott Cemetery near Ulman, Missouri. Graveside services were held by Brumley Masonic Lodge 203 of Brumley, Missouri. Members of the Lodge acted as pallbearers. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Hedges Funeral Home of Brumley, Missouri.
