By 1938 Sydney lived in Camden, NJ, working in the Paper Mill Playhouse in Short Hills. 1941, Sydney enlisted in the Army and was a member of the USO - touring all over the war theater in Europe entertaining the troops. He also served as a Chaplain's aide - playing the piano for services. 1951, after leaving the military, Sydney worked for a short time in London, England for Welles Tours. Sydney then moved to Los Angeles, CA where he was a writer for the film and TV industry. Syndey died of lung cancer.
