Charles M. Cleveland, 87, of 416 S Orchard St, a Madison resident for the past 46 years died Saturday night at a Madison hospital after a long illness. Born in Cross Plains, he farmed there until moving to Madison in 1906. He was employed by the University of Wisconsin for 24 years; eight years of that time as a University policeman. He was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, a sister, Mrs.Hannah Whitt, Albuquerque, NM and several nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the Frautschi Funeral Home.
