James Lonnie Botkin, 73, died Friday, Feb. 28 in Hanover General Hospital, Hanover, Penn. He was born near Headwaters April 1, 1901, son of James M. and Dorothy McCray Botkin. He was a retired State Highway Department employee. His wife. Lura Pullin Botkin, died Feb. 11, 1966. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. May Kimble of Westminster, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Leafy Crummett of Headwaters, and Mrs. Jannie Grant of Staunton; one half-sister, Miss Meda Puffenbarger of Headwaters, one brother, Henry Botkin of Headwaters; two half-brothers, Pearl Botkin of Staunton and Clyde Puffenbarger of Headwaters; four grandchildren; two great-grand-children, and a number of nieces and nephews. The service was conducted Monday, March 3 from the Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Jack Maxwell. Burial was in the Botkin family cemetery.
