Jowers died Wednesday, Aug 25, at the Mississippi Care Center of DeKalb, Ms. She was a native of the Octagon community and a resident of Demopolis for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Columbus Winfield Jowers; a son, Winfield Mardin Jowers; and two grandsons, Joseph Todd Jowers and Tommy Jowers.
Survivors include four sons, Johnny W. Jowers of Demopolis, Cleveland E. Jowers of DeKalb, Ms, Lonnie Lee Jowers of Guntersville, and Walter Edwin Jowers of Thomasville; two sisters, Dora Bell Jowers of Pensacola, FL, and Sara Horn of Orlando, FL; 18 grandchildren; and 34 great grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers were the employees of the Mississippi Care Center and Dr. Jim Smith.
