Funeral services for James Leroy Blackman, who died in Redding Monday from heart disease will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mr. Blackman, a native of Newtown, had lived in Redding since 1871. He was a member of the Board of Selectmen, an assessor and a justice of the peace. He is survived by his widow; one son, Lloyd Blackman and one daughter, Mrs. Aaron Sanford, of Bridgeport.
