Jeanette E. Grawey, 82 of St. Joseph Nursing Home in Lacon, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria, IL.
She was born on January 18, 1924 in Peoria to Joseph and Regina Hagemann Groeper. She married Leo M. Grawey on July 29, 1944 in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Laura Johnson of Billings, Montana, Julie (Jerry) Curlee of Monee, IL and Anita Grawey of Peoria; one brother, Kenny (Clara) Groeper of Chicago Heights, IL; and two sisters, Bernadine Dooley of Peoria and Lorraine Jackson of East Peoria.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Larry and Tom; one granddaughter and two brothers.
She was a a volunteer at St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Burial of ashes will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Peoria at a later date.
