He was united in marriage to Helen Edminsten on August 28, 1944.
Wendell, as he was known to his many friends and relatives, was a life time resident of Adams County, Ohio and spent his earlier years in toiling God's soil. For the past thirteen years, Wendell has been employed by ABCAP at Decatur, Ohio. During these years, he had gained the respect of many of his fellow employees and was well known by spending his free time on the job in studying God's word.
Many years ago Wendell placed his faith in God, and became a member of the Bentonville Church of Christ in Christian Union in which he served as a fathful member and attended as regularly as health would permit.
Being in ill health for some time, Wendell continued working until time for the Death Angel to call. All that mortal hands could do was done to prolong his life, but God knew best and called him to His eternal home.
Wendell was a loving husband, relative, friend, and neighbor to all who knew him.
He leaves to mourn his passing: devoted wife, Helen, one sister, Marie Rainwater of Route 2, West Union, and three brothers, Cecil of Route 3, West Union: John Jr., of Summit Station, and Richard of Cincinnati: uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
