James Oliver Hudson was born April 12, 1879 in Alabama. He died at 9:?? a.m. on July 28, at his home.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. from the Bible Baptist Church here Wednesday. Bro. Willison, Pastor, officiated. Interment was in East Side Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Melvine Elizabeth (Lizzie) Hudson of Bridgeport; six sons, J. W. of Houston; Willie Lee of Seminole; Samuel of Bridgeport; James Floyd of Dumas; Cecil also of Dumas and Emmitt of Dumas, one daughter, Juanita Hodge of Houston. Pallbearers were nephews.

Mr. Hudson was a member of the Woodman lodge.
