She moved to West Point when a child and there married John B. Yeager in 1838. They moved to Independence and lived there until 1845, when they came to Attica. She was a continuous resident here for 52 years. Mr. Yeager died on March 18, 1886 and for the past 7 years Mrs. Yeager made her home with her daughter, Mrs. I. E. Schoonover.
She was a woman of many good qualities, a devoted mother and a kind neighbor. She left three children, Mrs. I.E. Schoonover, Mrs. Frank [sic..should be Mrs. John (Mary Frances)] Shelby, of Randolph, Utah, and Mrs. Frank Barnhart [sic..should be Bernhardt] of Lafayette. Two daughters preceded her in death, Mrs. Thos Hemphill and Mrs. A. B. Robinson.
The funeral will take place at ten tomorrow morning from the residence of I. E. Schoonover, Rev. J. A. Maxwell conducting the services. Interment at Riverside cemetery."
