She was born May 8, 1919, in Whiteley Township, a daughter of Frederick V. and Olive Irene Rogers Headley.
Mrs Mason was a member of Fairall United Methodist Church and for the past 30 years attended Maplewood United Methodist Church in Sulphur.
She was a graduate of Mt. Morris High School and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Mason worked for Central Greene School District in Whiteley Elementery School cafeteria.
She was an active volunteer with the ladies auxiliary of West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital and United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, John R. Mason; two nieces Janice Graham Brunell of Waynesburg and Darlene Headley Page of Gilmanton, NH; and two nephews, James F, Graham of Charles Town,WV and Fred R. Headley of Cumming, GA.
Deceased are a daughter, Sheila K. Mason Blount; a brother, Frank R. Headley; and two sisters, Beatrice Russell and Kathryn Graham.--Observer-Reporter
