When a small child the family moved to Juniata, Nebraska where she grew to womanhood. In 1883 she was united in marriage to Samuel O. Van Druff.
To this union were born nine children, all living except one son, Marion, who preceded her in death. Mr. and Mrs. Van Druff spent their early married life on a homestead northwest of Arapahoe. Several years later they moved to a farm 3-1/2 miles north of Arapahoe where she lived until the time of her death, at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 7 days.
She leaves to mourn her passing her eight children: Mrs. Horace (Della) Warren, Mrs. Charles (Edna) Kolp, Mrs. Otto (Emma) Tull, Jacob Vandruff, Lyman Vandruff, Mrs. David (Charlotte) Marks, and Lucy and Zelda Vandruff, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, one sister and one brother, her husband having preceded her in death by only a few months.
